The 771st Marine Strike Group aboard USS Accord, nicknamed "The Smilin' Piranhas," is a unit of the STARFLEET Marine Corps. We're in the 5th Battalion of the 7th Brigade of the SFMC. Stay tuned for our soon-to-come secondary logo, complete with smilin' piranha!

Members of the 771st include active-duty Marines as well as Marine reservists, indicated with an (R) following their names. Marine reservists hold a "naval" commission in STARFLEET, but choose to use Marine ranks and insignia on occasion.

Current members of the 771st MSG are 1LT Michael Sovocool (R), BGR Doc Kinne, and MGEN Mark H. Anbinder (R).

BGR Kinne and MGEN Anbinder were each awarded the STARFLEET Cross in December 2000. This award is given by the Commander, STARFLEET to recognize a Marine who has rendered exceptional service to STARFLEET in general -- either by demonstrating consistently outstanding performance over time, or by performing a particular task or service to a high standard of excellence.

In February 2001, MGEN Anbinder was awarded the 7th Brigade Shield of Valor, an annual award to recognize the Brigade's Volunteer of the Year.
